Privacy Policy
The short version: your working data lives in your browser — and when you download a generated document (PDF or Excel), we keep a record of it.
We do not sell your data
We have never sold, rented, or traded personal information, and nothing you enter here is passed to another company for their own use. Your documents are used to render your PDF or Excel workbook and kept as our own business record — they are never sent to advertisers or data brokers. The one third party that receives anything at all is Google, through the advertising tag described below, and it never sees your documents. You can switch that off on our Your Privacy Choices page.
Your working data stays on your device
Everything you type is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device as you work. We have no user accounts and cannot see your drafts. Clearing your browser data deletes your working documents and history, and we cannot restore them for you.
Document generation (PDF and Excel)
When you download a generated document — the PDF or the Excel workbook — your document data is sent to our server to render the file, and we keep a record of it for our internal business purposes. The record contains the document's contents and file format, together with your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the returning-visitor identifier described below, and your acceptance of the terms at the time of download. If you added a logo, the record notes that one was attached but does not store the image itself. Records are stored securely in our AWS account in the United States and are deleted automatically after twelve months. The blank template downloads (PDF and Excel) store only the options you chose, never document contents. To request earlier deletion of a record, use the feedback form and include the company and project names on the document so we can locate it.
Advertising measurement
We use the Google Ads tag to measure whether our ads work (for example, counting how many visitors who clicked an ad went on to download a PDF). It never sees the contents of your documents. For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, this tag runs in cookieless mode by default — it stores nothing on your device, which is why you don't see a cookie banner. Elsewhere, it may set Google advertising cookies for conversion measurement. Some state privacy laws treat this as “sharing” personal information for cross-context advertising, so you can switch it off entirely on our Your Privacy Choices page — we also honour the Global Privacy Control signal automatically. Returning-visitor cookie
We set a first-party cookie containing a random identifier and the time of your last visit so we can count new versus returning visitors and understand repeat use. It identifies your browser, not you — it contains no personal information, is never shared with anyone outside our own systems, and is not used for advertising. We do store it alongside download and survey records, which lets us see that the same browser came back. It expires after 400 days, or when you clear your browser's cookies.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps short-lived technical logs of requests (such as IP address, timestamp, and URL) for security and operations. We also keep a rolling log of the last 120 page requests — path, referring page, IP address, and user agent — which overwrites itself continuously, and a running count of which sites link to us (the referring site's domain and how often, with no visitor details attached). None of this is used to profile you or joined to your document contents.
Feedback you send us
If you use the feedback form, what you submit — your message and, if you choose to provide it, your email address — is sent to us by email so we can act on it and reply, and it stays in our mailbox until we delete it. If you answer one of our optional one-question surveys, we store your answer along with your IP address, user agent, and visitor identifier for twelve months, and a copy is emailed to us. We use both only to improve the service, and we may use an email address you gave us to tell you about our own software — never to market anyone else's. Ask us at any time to delete anything you have sent.
Children
The service is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If our practices change — for example, if we ever add optional accounts or analytics — this policy will be updated before those changes take effect. This policy was last updated on August 9, 2026, when Excel workbook downloads were added alongside PDFs: both are generated on our server and keep the same download record. Before that, on July 26, 2026, we added the Your Privacy Choices opt-out and described our download records, request logs, and survey storage in more detail.
